Steph is the founder of All the Discos, a jewellery, accessories and apparel brand designed to take you back, or get you ready, for any moment the music calls! I was thrilled to chat with her as part of the Pedddle UK's #GoLiveInMay month long Instagram challenge...
Starting around 4 years ago with a disco bolt Christmas decoration, All the Discos has gradually grown to incorporate a wide range of jewellery for any occasion. All of Steph's earrings are hypo-allergenic, and many designs are available with a clip-on or hook attachment. Steph cares about the environmental impact of her products by selecting high-quality glitter fabric that doesn’t shed and by keeping hold of offcuts for creating smaller designs with, therefore minimising waste. All of Steph's creations are made by hand, whilst listening to her favourite 80s tunes under the watchful eye of her faithful Barbie doll, Gem!
New ranges at All the Discos include a power-dressing-inspired, Gem collection (with various sizes to take your outfit from day into the night) and a Summer collection (complete with ice cream cone and sprinkle mix and match designs).
“Give it a try” was Steph’s advice for other small businesses. Having the confidence to keep trying, and not listen to her inner saboteur, is how her business has grown. Steph continued to say that wearing her own earrings whilst out and about is also a great way to advertise her products.
Steph nominated Lil's Parlour for her amazing cakes. Lil will be opening an ice cream parlour, Frosty’s Palace, in her Birmingham-based store this Summer. Inspired by ‘80s and ‘90s nostalgia, Lil’s Parlour is the place to head for all range of mouth-watering cakes and delicacies.
